About This Weather Station
Observations are powered by a Personal Weather Station
This website is automatically updated in real time (about every 16 seconds) with weather observations from a Ambient Weather personal weatherstation located in Riyadh, KSA. Weather data is received from a Linux based receiver and processed by the weewx weather software for archive and for the websites feed.The weather station provides the following readings:
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Wind speed
- Wind direction
- Rainfall
- UV
- Solar radiation
- Barometric Pressure
The rest of the observations indicated on this website are done via software calculations and quality control checks to make sure the data is valid.
All weather observations are also posted to the following websites:
- IRIYADH30 on Weather Underground using rapid fire updates (every 15 seconds)
- Riyadh Weather on Weathercloud.net
- Riyadh Weather on Windy.com

- HighCharts for the various charts on the website
- A custom-built theme for belchertownweather.com
- Linux Debian Rpi server that the weather station directly connects to for live station data
- mqtt as the broker for instant data transfer from weather station to website
- More custom PHP and JavaScript scripts to connect to the socket and parse the live station data and present it to you in real time
